Revolutionary freight logistics.
Innovative solutions for precise freight allocation and maximum transport efficiency in the age of artificial intelligence.

KIBA has an ambitious goal in mind - to optimize and accelerate the loading of wagons in combined transport. Thanks to the automated assignment of intermodal loading units, such as truck trailers, to wagons, complex loading rules and the availability of suitable rail vehicles are taken into account and optimized.

With the help of groundbreaking AI technology, the expected loading units are predicted, allowing the design of trains to be optimized in view of Germany-wide timetables. This leads to improved utilization of freight trains, a reduction in empty runs and a reduction in waiting times, infrastructure load and environmental impact.

The KIBA project brings together top-class partners such as Kombiverkehr, TU Darmstadt, DUSS, Goethe University Frankfurt, VTG Rail Europe, INFORM and KombiConsult, who are working together to make this ground-breaking innovation a success.
